Many people seem to think there are no consumer rights in the Philippines. It is a myth that consumers have no rights, the truth is the does protect the consumer it is just that some companies do not want to give you them rights. 

Shops will often write on receipts 1 day or 1 week warranty, this in no way overrides your right to return faulty goods after that period. You are protected as a consumer by the Republic Act 7394 which is known as the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
