We reported earlier today about the problem of no or slow PLDT Fibr connections in the Cavite area, we have since heard that it is also affecting Manila, Makati, Pasay, Laguna and Cavite and it affecting voice and data services.
A report in the Manila Bulletin quoted LTO as saying it was due to break in fibre cables nationwide, while ABS-CBN News website reported telco blaming the issue on vandalism.
Both said it was expected to be restored by 8pm however that time has passed and the problem still continue.
We have just spoken to PLDT call center again (9:15pm 31st may 2018) and they still seem ever unwilling or unable to give any information to what caused the outage or when the service is likely to be restored. It seems strange to us why a company would want to keep its customers in the dark about such a major problem.
We hate to think how much this PLDT outage is costing the Philippines with it affecting so many businesses.
If anybody has any information on this problem please Contact US, we would also like to here from businesses how this has affected your business today.
