At 2:00pm we contacted PLDT again and were informed PLDT are still verifying if there is a problem. We can only presume that in this period of time hundreds or even thousands of customers will have contacted PLDT about their connection problems, yet in 7 hours according to their call center they are still trying to verify that there is a problem.
We would be happy for someone from PLDT to contact us with more information about the PLDT outage which we are told is affecting every PLDT user in Cavite, so far from what the call center is telling us very little has been done in 7 hours and as they are still verifying if there is a problem.
We hope that this is not the case and it is no more than PLDT call centers not being told any information that might assure customers that something is being done to fix the outage.
We would also be interested if PLDT will automatically reduce the bills of all the thousand of people affected by this PLDT outage.
If you have been affected by this outage we would like to hear from you.
It is claimed that this is because of vandals cutting Fiber cables. If this is the case questions need to be asked about how vandals can disrupt the internet of thousands of people and businesses with one act of vandalism.
LTO are reporting they can’t issue licenses today because of the problem.
PLDT are still failing to confirm anything and still saying they are trying to verify if there is a problem.
Update Thursday 3rd May 8:34 PM:
LTO reported that its system is down because of multiple fiber breaks nationwide and PLDT had informed them that the service should be restored by 8pm Thursday the 3rd of may, however that time has passed and there still seems to be no improvement.
