Rosa Sevilla Alvero was born in the Old Rajah Matanda in Tondo, Manila on March 4 , 1879 . Her full name according to her baptism parties Rosa Lucia Sevilla. Her parents were Ambrosio Sevilla, a Spanish army sergeant and Silvina Tolentino y Rafael relative mandudulang was Aurelio Tolentino . She graduated Maestra Superior College Assumption . Distinguished writer and orator in Spanish and Tagalog. He edited Vida Filipino, Pilipino and Life Pajima de la Mujer La Vanguardia. She also became a writer Press, La Opinion and El Debate.

On the whole she was a teacher, social worker who was active in the women’s movement. In the field of literature she is a poet, playwright, and orator. Some of hers works are La Mejor, El Sueno del Poeta, prisonera de Amor, La Loca de Hinulugang Taktak and much more.

She passed away on 11 May 1954 at the age of 75 in Manila.
