Grand Opening of Philippines First Railway

Thousands turned out for the grand opening of the first railway in the Philippines  in town all along the route of the first railway streets were decorated, bands played and people cheered as the first passengers travelled by train from Manila to Dagupan, Pangasinan a distance of 195.392km (121.41) The Railway was built by a British Company, Manila Railway Company. 

The first and second sections of the track had trains already running on the but the Grand Opening was to mark the completion of the line. However there was still two bridges still not finished.
